This ride is in conjuction with the Devil Riders, another riding club and a great group of people.

We will meet at the Coffee Plantation between 7:15 and 7:30, come early if you want coffee or a muffin and schmoozing before the ride. We roll out at 7:45 and meet the Devil Riders at the Circle K at 83rd Avenue and Bell Road. At 8 am we'll leave en masse from there and roll over to the Arrowhead Harley Davidson for registration.

From the Harley Davidson, we'll be riding to St. Joseph's Hospital to distribute to the toys to the kids. Somewhere along the line they're doing a raffle, you get a ticket for each toy your bring for the kids, and apparently it's some pretty cool stuff. It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive and you don't have to bring a million, just one is enough as your "entrance fee" to the thing.

It's going to be HOT, so bring your hydration paks if you have them or a water bottle, and a camera so you can post pictures of the event on our photos page when you get back. :) For more information, visit the Devil Riders' forum page on the ride:

60 sportbikes! Yeah, I was being really conservative when I said over 30 riders. Schweet!

Johnny, where are you at in the EV? I can meet somewhere and we can ride together over to Glendale. This is more of an event than an actual ride like we normally do. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that.

Late breaking news for me. I found out I will need to work tomorrow for a few hours. I can still meet up with the LW and ride over to where the DR's are at and may go as far as riding to the event. However, I will need to leave shortly after that to get to work. It sucks, but I will be out by 3pm so if anyone wants to do more riding let me know. Jessie has my number.

Don't forget to go shopping, guys! Doesn't have to be anything fancy, but a few toys for the kiddos is your "entrance fee", so to speak. Lash a teddy bear to the back of your bike and you're good, AND you'll amuse traffic on the way there. :)

Hey, that's a good idea Glenn. South Mountain and Tortilla Flats are relatively close-by rides that seem to be pretty popular, although the roads might be kind of crowded on a Saturday. Or we could do the Yarnell hill run again, I never seem to get bored of that one.

I am meeting up with the east side Devil Riders at the QT on Rural & Broadway at 7:15am. Stands up at 7:30! Any east side riders planning on going can meet me there. This is more of an event than a ride. It's for a great cause. Lots of bikers from all types will be there. Should be pretty cool. Depending on how things go maybe a few of us can bail early and do an impromptu ride somewhere . . . suggestions?

I would guess the ride itself will be about a half hour ish and the actual event will be a few hours including handing out the toys to the kids and the raffle drawing.

I think the range for toys is 5-10 dollars, they want to bring stuff kids will actually enjoy and play with, like die cast cars, those Bratz dolls things, barbies ( do girls still play with those..?), you get the idea. But you don't have to blow a paycheck on them. Also, for each one you get a raffle for some (reportedly) awesome schwag. ;)

Who attended?

    •  Lots of fun, between the Devil Riders are ourselves, we brought 60 riders strong, VERY NICE.
    •  That's a long ride to Glendale coming from Queen Creek when you're by yourself. Well worth the ride. I met the LW group at CP then we headed out to the DR meet up spot. Over 30 riders gathered there then we ALL made our way to the event. The Devil Riders (LW was part of them) were the biggest group there! It was awesome having all these sportsbikes invade the HD dealership. LOL. I had to leave just prior to the ride to the hospital. Glad I made it though. Good seeing everyone!
